Dr. Haberland
Dr. Haberland is faculy in the BioResources and Agricultural Engineering Department (CAFES). He is working to redesign the BRAE capstone project to incorporate a service-learning experience.

Dr. Haberland earned a B.S. and M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research is in agricultural automation and robotics, and he supports the work of others as a core developer of SciPy, the scientific computing library for Python. Dr. Haberland teaches classes in laboratory skills and safety; engineering ethics, economics, and optimization; and agricultural equipment design. His goal as a Service-Learning Faculty Fellow program is to redesign the BRAE capstone project as a service-learning experience. |
